Eco-Spirituality

The purpose of the Eco-Spirituality Committee is to present educational and inspirational activities to the Sacramento Friends Meeting, to celebrate our interconnectedness with the natural world, and work for the preservation of a healthy planet for us and future generations. Additionally, we make a clear statement of the importance of the Earth, both spiritually and practically, to our faith and to all we care about.

Our goal is to raise our concerns for the natural world, especially climate change, to a high place in our Meeting, in people’s consciousness and in our daily lives. We will work with Quaker groups: Monthly meetings, Quarterly meetings, Pacific Yearly Meeting and with other groups concerned in meeting the greatest challenge of our times — a livable future for all of life.
